Meet the Blushing Goddess
Cathy Jean
Cathy Jean is the woman behind the chair. She began her career in 2009 at Chic Cosmetology in Grand Rapids, MI after years of practicing in her own bathroom with friends and family. While attending school during the day, at night she studied as an apprentice to area leading stylists learning techniques from Redken, Paul Mitchell, Matrix, and Schwarzkopf.
As your stylist, she promises to attend quarterly education classes or hair shows to be the pulse of trends, additionally, she watches weekly educational technique videos hosted by Sam Villa, Nicholas French, Ted Gibson, Jason Beck, Theresa Vandam, and Siri Parks.
Cathy has a Bachelor’s in Integrative Studies and an Associate’s in Communication and Administration from Ferris State University. She is also fluent in ASL (American Sign Language). To keep herself busy during the shutdown, she attended Florida Atlantic University and received a certificate in Customer Service and Hospitality Management, giving her tools to elevate your in-salon experience. Her educational journey has given her knowledge in chemistry, hormones, and customer service.
